Summary of Service:

Global Marketing Options will submit a listing onto GoogleTM Maps on your behalf for an agreed one-off fee which will be confirmed on the invoice. GoogleTM will verify this request by sending a security code via a postcard which takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. Once received and given back to us we will finalise the process and your listing will then start to appear within 24 hours.

What’s in the listing?

Company Name: This is the business name known in the offline world.
Address: Enter your address the same way it would appear on a paper mail envelope.
Phone number: Make sure to include the area code with your business phone number.
Website: Make sure to list your authoritative business website as your homepage, since Google uses information from your homepage to help improve search results. The URL you provide can be a maximum of 255 characters.
Description: Tell users what makes your business special.
Email address: Let users know how to contact you.
Categories: Categories are ways to classify your business that help Google show your business for the right searches. The Google Places will suggest categories that match what you type, but feel free to create your own if you don't see a category that fits your business. Make sure that the categories you choose are accurate and describe your business well. It's ok if they're specific; Google's search algorithm makes sure that users looking for a general business type, like 'book stores,' will see businesses in more specific categories too.
Hours of operation: Let customers know when your business is open.
Payment options:Specify the payment types you accept.
Photos/Videos:Including photos and video adds visual appeal to your listing.
Additional details:Create custom attributes that allow you to include additional information that you'd like customers to know. For example, you can list what brands you carry, or if your business has parking.
Offers: We can also add in certain offers that will be displayed for users to take advantage of.

Ranking of listings:

Google Maps business listings are generated and ranked entirely by mathematical algorithms. Google’s algorithms and index sometimes experience changes, so businesses may not always appear for a particular category or keyword search. Google also can't guarantee that your listing will appear in search results for a particular category or keyword. Please be assured that these changes are automated and impartial. Google know that business owners sometimes feel that their business should be listed in a different category, but Google can't associate or disassociate a specific search term from an individual business listing, either manually or by request. It's always Google’s intent to represent available online content fairly and accurately. We also can't provide additional details about Google’s ranking algorithm; they do their best to keep the details of the algorithm confidential in order to make the ranking system as fair as possible for everyone.

You will be able to see your adverts by going to www.google.co.uk/maps and typing your company name and/or chosen categories along with your area into the Google™ search bar and clicking "search" and then clicking “maps”.

Upon receipt of payment for services Global Marketing Options deems the buyer to have read and agreed to these terms.  All Google™ Places listings follow the policies and guidelines as defined by Google™. For more information on these policies please visit the following link: http://www.google.com/accounts/TOS?hl=en&loc=GB. Upon receipt of payment the buyer agrees to this contract. This is a non refundable Product.

Why can't I see my listing on Google Maps?

Are you trying to understand why your listing isn't appearing? On this page, we'll help you understand the most common issues.

Did you verify your business listing?

When we set up the listing for you we, Google sent out pin code verification either by text message, automated telephone call or postcard, has this been returned to us? We need this to finalise the listing before it will begin to appear.

Did you recently add or edit your business listing?

Our search results are based on algorithms that take a wide range of factors into account. When you make changes to your listing, it may shift that balance a bit. Your listing's placement in search results will vary, but in the long run, having a correct, comprehensive, and up-to-date listing is the most effective way to ensure the best possible ranking. Please make sure your listing complies with our Google Places quality guidelines.

Complaints:

Occasionally it is possible that you may have a complaint in which you would like us to address. Then to ensure we can offer the most efficient service to all of our customers, we require that it is put in writing to us at the address at the top of these terms of service.
